When will graded papers be sent home?

Papers will be sent home every Friday. A conduct sheet will be included
with
the papers to inform you of your child's work habits, behavior, and any
supplies your child may need. A supply check will be administered
periodically. A guardian needs to sign the conduct
sheet and
send it back in the folder. The papers do not need to be returned to the
teac

Why does my child have an 'S' in conduct?

Conduct grades are based on the number of tickets a student has taken
up during the week.
The weekly conduct sheet will reflect a conduct grade for each
individual week. The cummulative conduct grade will be based on the
entire nine weeks period.

How do I know what homework my child has each day?

The homework assigned each day is written on the board. It is yor
child's
responsibility to record the homework in his or her student organizer
each
day. There is time during extension and at the end of the day to write
down
the homework in the organizer.

How much time should my child be spending on homework?

If they have homework, they should not be spending more than 1 hour a night
maximum. Please let me
know if your child is struggling with homework. Mrs Gloger and I do our best to
communicate with each
other about homework and projects, so they do not overlap.

When will graded papers be sent home?

Papers will be sent home every Friday. A conduct sheet will be included with the
papers to inform
you of your child's work habits, behavior, and any supplies needed. Sign the conduct
sheet, do not
remove the tickets stapled to the conduct sheet and send it back with the folder. Please
remove all
other papers and keep them at home. If you have any questions, you may write a note
on the
conduct sheet. If you have questions regarding an assignment, attach a note to the
assignment and
return it with the Friday folder. It is the student' s responsibilty to bring this paper to my
attention.

How do I pay for book orders?

Please write a check to the book club. NO CASH PLEASE. The book orders will be
due the 15th of every month.

How can I help my child prepare for Social Studies tests?

Your child has a notebook that contains chapter vocabulary and notes. This can be taken home to study on a daily basis.

How can I help my child prepare for Language and reading tests?

I hand out review sheets for all of my tests. It is helpful to quiz your child from the
review.
