This is my 15th year to teach math. I have always taught here in Friendswood.
I taught 5th grade math for 11 years and this is my fourth year to teach 6th and 7th grade math.
I enjoy teaching 6th grade students. I think knowing where these kids
are coming from with their 5th grade learning skills and working with them in sixth grade
provides a great opportunity to draw upon their previous knowledge and skills and
connect it to extend and develop new concepts.
I have been married for 15 years and my husband, Doug, works for Boeing.
We have two boys, Ryan, and Reece, both at Friendswood Jr. High School.
We also have a daughter, Madison, who is 3 years old and attends Primrose school during the day.
