SOCIAL STUDIES:
MAJOR TEST - Middle East FRIDAY November 6th. The Review Sheet is posted. Be sure to begin studying for this early. Don't forget to study the facts about the 3 religions of the Middle East, as listed on the Review Sheet. I have posted a link to an interactive site where students can practice identifying the countries on a map. It also lists the capital of the country, which is good practice, as well. Students can go to this site and the country's name and capital will pop up. This site does not include Egypt (Cairo), which is included in our study; the site includes Cyprus, which we did NOT include in our study. Click on the Middle East Map Puzzle at this site and practice countries and capitals.
ISN'T THE INTERNET COOL?!!!
**2ND NINE WEEKS BEGINS! (In case you missed this announcement posted last week)
Just wanted parents to be aware that I will be following the 6th
grade guidelines on late work the rest of the year. (I was quite
lenient last nine weeks, but will not be this nine weeks.) If an
assignment is one day late, there is a 20 point deduction. If it is
turned in more than one day late, there is a 50 point deduction.
Check the 6th grade guidelines that was sent home and signed the first
week of school for more information on this, if needed. Late work can
become very costly very quickly. I announced this to all classes as
last nine weeks was drawing to a close and reminded them again before
Geo Terms were due today.
