Due to Hurricane Ike, the 10 Reading points may be harder to achieve since our
library computers and our library is closed due to water damage. I am still
encouraging your child to read and earn as many points as they can. This nine
weeks, I will not be taking a grade on this assignment, however, those
students who earn at least 5 of these points will receive the Reward Party.
Hopefully, we will be able to achieve this goal starting the second nine week
period. I will explain this more at Parent Orientation on September 30 at 7:00
pm. I hope to see all of you there. I am looking forward to meeting you!


Reading Requirements - I require 10 AR (Accelerated Reader) points 
each 9 weeks.    A book report may be written for any non-AR book.  It must 
be at least one full page and must include the title, author of the book, 
and number of pages in the book along with a one page summary of the book.  
Points will be given according to the length of the book. At the end of each 
9 week period, there will be a reward movie, based on literature, for those 
students who reach their goal.
