WINDSONG GRADING GUIDELINES
FOURTH GRADE
READING A minimum of 15 grades, with at least six comprehension
grades per 9 weeks.
Grades are not weighted.
LANGUAGE An average of 15 grades per 9 weeks will be taken from both
English skills and written communication.
Grades are not weighted.
SPELLING A minimum of two grades per week will be taken. Spelling in
other content areas should be included.
Grades are not weighted.
SOCIAL STUDIES A minimum of nine grades per 9 weeks will be taken.
Grades are not weighted.
SCIENCE A minimum of nine grades per 9 weeks will be taken.
Grades are not weighted.
MATH A minimum of two daily grades per week will be taken, which
may include one weekly facts test grade. There will be a minimum of two
assessment grades per 9 weeks.
Grades are weighted as follows:
Daily work 67%
Tests 33%
Late Work Eleven points will be deducted for any assignment deemed late
by the teacher. A “Late
Assignment Notice” will be sent home with the student, must be signed by a
parent or guardian, and
brought back the following school day along with the missing assignment. If
the assignment is not
returned at this time, a zero will be issued, but the student is still
expected to complete the
assignment.
Make-Up Work Students have as many days to complete work, as they are
absent. The maximum make-
up time allowed is five days.
