| Spelling:
We are well into a routine with writing the words three times each on
Monday, ABC order on Tuesday, word sort on Wednesday and now they are going to be adding the
challenge words and proofreading on Thursday. The test is on Friday first thing. I require them to do all
the challenge words, but I do not penalize them if they are incorrect. They are required to do
ALL spelling in cursive.
Reading:
We are in our final stretch, and we will be focusing on fairy tales. We will be looking at the
characteristics of fairy tales and different versions.
Writing:
In this last stretch of writing, we will dip into pieces that we have not done throughout the year to
prepare them for fifth grade.
**A couple of things to remember:
1. If your child needs a book to complete an assignment or to do a redo, it
is their responsibility to take the book home.
2. If your child likes to drink water, he/she may bring a water bottle.
3. Don't forget those healthy snacks!
4. If your child is cold natured, send a light jacket.
