School starts promptly at 7:45.

1 - Tuesday Scholastic Book Fair begins
9 - Early Release
14- First graders music performance 6:15pm
18- Friday Polar Express Day/Winter Party......We will read the book on
Thursday and then watch the movie on Friday morning. In the afternoon we will
play games and have special treats. In the coming weeks, I will send home
more information about how you can help! You can also join us for the fun
from 1:30-2:30. Our wonderful room moms will be needing your help.
21- Monday Winter Holidays through 1/4/10
Students are now able to check out 2 books. We focused on one of them
being a red dot book. Please remember that these picture books offer so many
teaching opportunities. We are working on taking picure walks, rereading
text, reading for meaning and discussing the events of the story. Please
take the opportunity to go deeper with their books for comprehension.
All library books should always stay with them. When they are at school,
it should be in their desk for them to read when they get the opportunity.
They may take it home each day, but I advised to take good care of it and
leave it in their backpack when they were not reading it.
