Magazine Fundraiser:
We sold over $21,000 worth of magazine subscriptions and HSA made
$8,000. The game truck and pig races are scheduled for the
afternoon of Nov. 12th. Friends and families can still support
St. Helen Catholic School by ordering online at
www.gafundraising.com and entering our school code: 1086990. The
sale ended on Oct. 6th but 40% of your purchases will still count
toward your family fundraising obligation.
Haak Winery:
Are you looking for a way to spend a nice evening out with your
spouse and earn credit toward your family fundraising
obligation? Buy your tickets to the Haak Winery!! The event
takes place November 13th and tickets cost $100.00 per person,
and 50% of your ticket sales count toward your fundraising
obligation. Stop by the school office to purchase your tickets
(credit card orders are accepted.) The evening is sure to be a
lot of fun!!
Christmas Pictures:
Rosehill Photography will be here on Nov. 5th to take Christmas
pictures. Order forms have been sent home already. Students may
come to school dressed in their Christmas outfit or Sunday best
for the picture. Students are encouraged to bring a change of
clothes to change into after the picture.
Bookfair:
Mrs. Drone will have her annual school bookfair during the week
of November 16th-20th. Students will be able to shop for books
during their scheduled library time and after school. Books make
terrific Christmas presents!
Thanksgiving Holidays:
I hope everyone enjoys the Thanksgiving holidays with friends and
family. St. Helen School will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. (with no
Extended Day) on November 24th and remain closed for the
remainder of the week for the Thanksgiving holidays. May God
continue to bless your family as we offer thanksgiving for all
that we have been given.
You helped make a difference for our school with labels:
As a result of a combined effort by our school, St. Helen Early
Childhood Center and the church parish, we raised $600 for our
school! We collected 5,300 Box Tops coupons, 985 Campbell's
labels, 445 Community Coffee UPC’s, and 83 Tyson labels! Thanks
for making our first Labels for Education fundraiser of the
school year a huge success. But, it isn’t over yet! Our Labels
fundraiser continues throughout the school year. So, keep those
Labels coming!
Did you know…
• All Community Coffee products, tea products, creamer,
sugar and coffee filters contain eligible UPC's that can be
reimbursed for cash for our school.
• All Campbell's® soups, V8 Splash® beverages, Swanson®
broths, and Pepperidge Farm® breads, cookies, and crackers
(including Goldfish crackers) contain eligible UPC’s that help us
buy much-needed supplies for our school.
Notes from the Accounting Office:
Please keep in mind that each family has to fulfill ½ of their
family fundraising obligation by December 15th. Families with
one student must raise $250.00 and families with 2 or more
students must raise $350.00 for the year. One half of this
amount is due by December 15th and the remainder by April 15th.
Need gift cards?
Order your gift cards from SHCS Gift Card Café by November 5th
and they will be delivered on November 18th. Gift cards make
great Christmas presents, teacher gifts, or just for everyday
purchases! You can download the forms from our school website-
just click on “HSA/Scrip.”
Bake sale:
Please support the 5th grade Bake Sale during the week of
November 16th-20th as they earn money to go to Camp Kappe. There
will be lots of goodies for students to purchase during their
lunch break.
Recycle ink cartridges, ipods, cameras, and cell phones:
If you have any of these devices that you would like to recycle,
please drop them in the Cartridges for Kids bin that is located
in the computer lab. The collection of these items will take
place between November 16th- December 17th.
