Welcome to TAG!

Welcome to our school! The mission of the School for the Talented and Gifted is to provide an environment in which the unique worth, dignity, and abilities of each individual are not only recognized but cultivated and celebrated as well. We wish to provide an educational experience that empowers highly capable students to interact with their intellectual peers in academic, creative, aesthetic, and social endeavors in order to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow and to become life-long learners, responsible citizens, and contributors to the betterment of society as a whole in an ever-changing world. Our mission is also to take our students and provide them with the skills and cultivate their talents so they can accepted to the colleges/universities of their choice with the money to go there and to be successful at those institutions of higher learning.

We had a great 2008-2009 as we were named the Number 1 Public High School
in America for the third time in four years by NEWSWEEK and we
graduated 48 seniors who accumulated $16,400,000 in academic
scholarships and grants. We hope to use those accomplishments as a
spring board for a wonderful 2009-2010. We will have our largest
enrollment ever at 234 students and our largest group of incoming
freshmen at 71. Please continue to monitor this page as the year
progresses and consider applying to our school for admission to the
2010-2011 school year.
