| OCTOBER 13
This week we will begin our voice unit. Students will learn techniques on
projection & yelling without causing damages to there voices.
OCTOBER 6
This week we will be performing our lip syncs. Students must be prepared the
day it is due. Performing after the due date will result in a GRADE
REDUCTION.
SEPTEMBER 29
Students are working on lip syncs outside of class time. Their performance
can be either filmed or in-class. If performances are filmed students need
to put the performance on a VHS tape, a DVD, or bring in the camera with TV
hook-ups. Live performances must be in costume before the tardy bell rings.
Each performance is worth 100 points & they will begin on October 7th.
Failure to perform the day they are due will result in a 30 point grade
deduction when made up.
In addition to the homework assignment students will be learning various
pantomime techniques & will be performing a group presentation they have
worked on in class.
SEPTEMBER 15
Our focus this week will be working on sensory recall & non-verbal
communication.
SEPTEMBER 8
This week we will continue with our basic acting principles. Students will
get into groups to demonstrate their master of the concepts presented to
them.
SEPTEMBER 2
This week we will be putting together & performing commercials. Afterwards,
we will work on mastering basic acting principles.
AUGUST 25TH
Welcome to Drama I. This class is an introductory look at many aspects of
theater. This week we will be going over classroom procedure & basic acting
terminology. Disclosure statements will be given the first day & must be
returned by the next class period.
