A native of Southern California, Mrs. Newton completed her education from the
University of Utah. Living in Salt Lake City for over 20 years with her
husband and teenage daughter she has a special love and affinity for
teenagers.
Believing that manners and respect between people is the key to tolerance and
a positive community, she strongly stresses positive relationships and
manners in her classes between student and teachers and among students in
general.
A safe, positive learning environment promotes respect and understanding
of new concepts and new ideas which adds to the developing student mentally,
emotionally, and intelligetually.
