New to the Site:

Two new Braille Charts have been added to Braille Rules/Charts - both charts can be opened with
MSWord and probably WordPad:
-- Braille Contractions Chart with Slate Cells
-- Letters, Numbers, and Signs with Slate Cells

Hopefully, these charts will be useful for slate users. There may be CONFUSION as to how to
read the Slate Cell Charts. I recommend that you print the charts and chose which "Backwards"
column works best for your needs. I would scribble out the column that you least like so that
the chart will not get confusing to you.

The column labeled Backwards - Right to Left will be useful if you want to read the chart the
way the braille will look BACKWARDS WHEN the braille is finished. Since slate users produce
backward braille, the cells on the chart must be read from Right to Left.

The column labeled Backwards - Left to Right will be useful if you want to read the chart the
way you normally read (left to right) AS YOU PRODUCE THE BACKWARD BRAILLE. The Left to Right
chart is easier understood if you read, think, or produce each cell individually as you read
from left to right and produce the backward braille right to left.

Good luck with your Slate and Stylus braille production.
