Welcome back for the 2009 - 20010 school year! It will be a year filled with
challenges, learning, and excitement. I would like to take this opportunity
to welcome you to Suncrest Elementary for another school year. For those
who are new to our school, I would like to extend a special welcome. I look
forward to working with you to make it a successful year.
In 2004, I graduated from Brigham Young University with degrees in Elementary
and Early Childhood Education. I have taught preschool, second grade, third
grade, and fifth grade. This is my fifth year teaching fifth grade. A lot of
people ask me which I prefer. That's an impossible question to answer because
all grades are unique and special in their own ways. One thing I know for
sure is that right now, 5th grade is the right place for me to be. I love the
5th grade curriculum. We learn United States history, geometry, division,
electricity, states and capitals, narrative writing, and many more exciting
things! Of course, 10 and 11 year olds are pretty cool, too.
