MATHCOUNTS
Mathcounts will start on September 4,2008, after school. Each session will
be 45 minutes of preparation. Everyones time is important, so don't come in
and distract from what is planned for the session. Do not prolong the class
by distracting the students and me. We are here for one thing and that is
knowledge which can make our school competitive.
This page is to give questions, and answers to prepare students for
mathcounts competitions, AMC competitions, state math contests. Please look
here for extra support.
All of these tests and answers are available on "Mathcounts.org"
Look for "students", click then click on "Prior Chapter and State
Competitions" for these materials. Try the questions and check your
answers, then get help with those you messed. Consentrate on school,
chapter competitions first. Those that will compete will be selected
later, when students ability is determined by work habits and scores.
Team Selection Process
We will need to select the students that will be representing our school
as soon as needs be.
Criteria will be the following:
1. AMC-8 results
2. Chapter Sprint and Target set
3. State Sprint and Target set
4. Wasatch Invitational results
5. Proper after school participation
After students are selected for the school team of four and four
individuals, changes can not be made without good reason, student signature
and my permision(after consultation with our state coordinator).
