Homework Drama 2

HELLO THEATRE 1B--

THIS IS OCT. 23RD


IN THEATRE 2 WE HAVE COMPLETED WORK ON WORKSHOPS 1,2,AND 3 IN OUR BOOKS.  
STUDENTS HAVE PERFORMED THEIR "HOT SEAT" EXERCISE, THEIR 5 PARALLEL 
EXPERIENCES FOR WORKSHOP #2, AND CREATED THEIR EMOTION WEBS FOR WORKSHOP #3.  
THEY HAVE ALSO COMPLETED THE EMOTION JUMP EXERCISE.  NEXT WEEK WE WILL BE 
MOVING INTO WORKSHOP #4 WHICH DEVELOPS RELATIONSHIPS ON STAGE.  THEY WILL 
NEED TO CREATE A MINIMUM OF A 1 PAGE INVISIBLE CHARACTER HISTORY WHICH 
EXPLAINS HOW THEY KNOW THE CHARACTER THEY BELIEVE THEY ARE SPEAKING TO IN 
THEIR MONOLOGUE.  THEY SHOULD DEVELOP BACKGROUND ON THE RELATIONSHIP AND WHY 
THIS PARTICULAR RELATIONSHIP IS SO IMPORTANT TO THEM AND WHY THEY ARE HAVING 
THIS PARTICULAR CONVERSATION WITH THIS PARTICULAR INDIVIDUAL.  WE WILL BE 
DOING SOME EXERCISES IN CLASS TO HELP THEM DEVELOP A GRASP OF THIS SKILL AS 
WELL.

RIGHT NOW IN THEIR MONOLOGUE PACKETS, THEY SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

1. A ROUGH DRAFT OF THEIR 3-5 PAGE CHARACTER HISTORY
2. 5 PARALLEL EXPERIENCES
3. EMOTION WEB
