CTE - Career and Technical Education
Course Outline and Disclosure
Dear Parents and Students;
CTE students are given opportunities to learn about themselves and explore
the world of work.
The students will be spending their time this year in gaining a greater
understanding of themselves, their likes and dislikes, wants, talents and
abilities, and personalities. Through the CTE curriculum, they will explore
many different occupations in business, technology, and family and consumer
science. They will gain a greater understanding of how the real world works
and what to do to prepare for it. They will also spend time planning what
they might like to do in the future and how they can start achieving those
goals while in school. The entire TLC program is exploratory. Please don't
expect the students to become experts on anything – they only
get a taste of many different things.

student is absent, he/she will know what was missed.
C. If a student is absent, he/she will is expected to make up the

C. Citizenship grades are based upon behavior, tardies and unexcused
absences.
D. Tardies will result in losing 10 participation points for each
tardy.
E. When a student is tardy, he/she will enter their name in the
tardy roster on the front desk. When a student has reached 3 tardies, a note
will be sent home to the parent informing the parent. When the student has 4
