What can my student do outside of class to increase Spanish fluency?
I recommend your student read aloud in Spanish using any Spanish material that you feel is suitable. Oral practice out loud brings some remarkable results in increased fluency. We do a lot of oral work in the class and you should encourage your student to take advantage of that opportunity to increase fluency.Back to Top
This varies, but on average about once a week. Some tests are written and some are oral. Most tests will be announced well in advance and the date will be posted on the board.Back to Top

What is the National Spanish Exam?
A national test sponsored by the national Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. It is like the SAT, but its testing demonstrates mastery in reading, vocabulary, grammar and listening comprehension. We have had students do very well on this test receiving accolades in the state of Utah and the nation. This year the test will be taken from Practice Tests given in the past. The economic conditions of this year made it impossible to fund test taking or to have students pay for their own test.Back to Top
