ABOUT THE TEACHER

I received my B.A. Degree in Spanish from the University of Utah and my 
Masters' Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Brigham Young University.  I 
have had ten years of experience leading student tours in Mexico, and I 
served an LDS Spanish-speaking mission.  I am a graduate from the District 
Mid-Level Academy and I recently retired from the United States Army Reserve 
with 32 years of service serving as a First Sergeant of a Personnel Company 
and an Investigations Officer for the Office of the Inspector General.

CLASS MISSION

SPANISH 1
This class is designed to further reading, writing, speaking, and 
listening skills in the Spanish Language.  The class presents basic concepts 
of conversation, describing people and objects in the classroom, using 
numbers, telling time, talking about dates, months, and seasons, the weather 
school subjects family and house terms, likes and dislikes and food, clothing 
and sports. This class prepares the student to be move to the next level of 
study in Spanish 2.  The cultures and customs of Spanish speaking countries 
will also be studied.
