1. Social Studies: Imagine you are a colonist in Virginia the early 1600's.
Write a letter that a leader of Jamestown might have written to the Virginia
Company in England telling them about the problems in the colony. Include in
your letter the things that are needed (food, tools, weapons, clothing, other
itmes etc.) also include in your letter possible solutions. FOr example, you
might ask for supply ships, particular itmes etc. Address the issue of
improving relationships with the Powhatan people.
Be creative when writing this letter. you might want to make the letter
have an "olden day" look.
2. Create a FLIP BOOK about the steps of pollination and formation of fruit
(fertilization).
You may use index cards or other sturdy paper and cut it into small squares
(about half an index card). Draw a the steps of pollination from when the
pollen gets into the pistil till the formation of the fruit.
You may use the internet or library books to do some brief research.
