2. There will be 2 Spelling homework assignments weekly: write the words in alphabetical order,
and then to write them 3 more times (in any order). I recommend students do spelling homework
on Mon and Tues to be ready for the practice test Wed. After the practice test, students will know
what they need to study; this is on their own. Spelling homework should be completed in their
spelling journals. I will try to update the spelling words below every week.
3. Scholastic magazines are a regular weekly assignment. I will generally give them out Friday
and they will be due the following Friday. Students need to read all the articles and do the
questions and activities on the back. They can do the questions on the inside as
bonus/extra work if they want (but they need to indicate they have done it so I can check it).

- The only homework is to finish the country project. They don't have to write a lot on their poster,
just mostly label and explain what each thing is (something about each area--culture, government,
resources, economy, services).
If they want to, they can prepare something to read out, or they can just present the information.
