Please use your creativity in making this enjoyable and eye catching. Some items that you can use are foil, poster paint, cotton balls for cloud, and glitter. Please make the prop comfortable which the Preschoolers can wear on their body. They will need their hands free to do the actions.  You can make a hole at the sides and put strings so that they could wear it easily.  Thank you.

Our Second May Newsletter

Assalamualaikum Parents:

What a rainy week. Alhumdulillah, we were still able to go outdoors for recess.

**This week Mrs. Maysoun was not able to teach Arabic and Quran. She was busy with helping out the older students with the standardizing test. Ms. Shazia and I taught Quran and Arabic and a little bit of Islamic Studies this week. We reviewed all the Surah’s taught so far, we reviewed the Arabic Letters and Numbers. We also discussed the basic manners and sayings of who we are and talked about the beautiful creations of Allah SWT. We reviewed the 5 Prayers and being kind to each other.

**We are pleased to announce that we have implemented Recycling in our classroom.  We have stationed two blue bins labeled as PAPER AND PLASTIC.  We have begun to recycle in the classroom.  We have learned to turn off the water when we are using soap, Students are told to turn off the light when they are not using the bathroom.  We would like to continue this at home as well.  Students have also learned what items are recycled in plastic containers and items that are recycled in the paper containers.  Please encourage them to recycle at home as well.  It is a great learning opportunity at home and at school to learn to "Be Green" Thank you.

**Blankets were sent this week.  Please return them on Monday.

**Thank you Izzah, Mohammed and Aila for being our Community Snack Providers. We enjoyed having snack with you this week.
