About Me

I am a native of Long Beach, New York. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in
History/Education Pre-K to 6th grade from Molloy College, in Rockville Centre
LI.

I moved to Chicago when I got married and resided there for 15 years. I have
four children, three daughters and one son. I began working at Islamic
Foundation School when I had my first daughter in 1995. In the past, I have
had four years of experience of working as a Preschool teacher’s aide at
Islamic Foundation School in Villa Park, IL.

I have in the past, aided in Prek, Kindergarten, and First grade. InshaAllah,
this will be my Fifth year as a Preschool Teacher at Al Fatih
Academy. I am very excited to share my experience and very much look forward
to teaching preschool students and help them grow socially, emotionally, and
intellectually.

I enjoy working with young children. It is very rewarding teaching young
children. I would love to see their academic growth by helping them enjoy
learning. It is amazing to see how much these children learn each day and to
see the excitement on their faces when they share their knowledge

I consider myself to be a very outgoing and sweet person who is not afraid of
learning new things. I am kind and generous. I love working with kids and
recognizing each child’s unique qualities and helping to build strong
foundations. My attitude is unconditional love for all. It is a joy for me
to guide these young children as they develop the confidence , attitude and
habit that will make a difference throughout their lives. A few of my other
qualities are being responsible and organized. I take responsibilities and
actions seriously and complete tasks efficiently.

I can be reached at Al Fatih Academy during the hours 8:30-4:00. Please call
the office anytime, at (703)437-9382.

My Philosophy of Teaching

The structure of the preschool program highlights the value of play in the
development of young children. We are proud to be using the HighScope
Curriculum in Preschool. This curriculum is based on child's interests in
class and their learning of knowledge through exploration and play. Children
have a strong inner motivation to learn, if the material is presented in a
natural and unforced way.

Experiences and activities are introduced so children have an opportunity to
make decisions and solve problems under the guidance of both teacher and her
aide. I believe that each child has an understanding of basic knowledge of
education through creative play and learning.

I look forward to having a wonderful and exciting experience working with the
students in our Preschool class.
