Greetings All 8th Grade Students and Families,

As you are progressing through your final year of middle school, it is hard to believe that we are three months into the school year. 

STUDENT COUNSELING GOALS

(K-12)

Academic Development
•  To acquire the attitudes, knowledge, and skills that contribute to effective life-long
    learning
•  To complete school with the academic preparation essential to choose from a wide range
    of post-secondary educational and training options
•  To understand the relationship of academics to the world of work, to life at home, and to
    life in the community

Career Development
•  To investigate the world of work in relation to knowledge of self and to make informed
    career decisions
•  To develop and explore strategies to achieve future career goals
•  To understand the relationships among personal qualities, education, training, and the
    world of work

Personal/Social Development
•  To understand the importance of interpersonal skills and respect of self and others
•  To make decisions, set goals, and take necessary action to achieve goals
•  to develop life skills for personal growth
