Background:
I was born and raised in Windsor, Virginia-a small town about 1 1/2 hours east
of Richmond.  I graduated high school in 1997 with only 97 students in my
graduating class.  I have one older sister, Angie, she is married with two
kids and also still lives in Windsor.
I was married in April 2006 to Harry.  He is from Australia-we love visiting
there as often as we can to see his family.  

During my free time, I love to spend time with my husband and go to the
museums in Washington D.C., go shopping or visit with friends and family and
read.  I'm also not the greatest cook so I've started watching the Foodnetwork
and getting cookbooks so I can start cooking more for my husband. I also love
to dance.  I started taking dance lessons at the age of 4 and took lessons all
the way through college.

I moved to Prince William in October of 2006 to teach the fifth grade at
Bennett.  Before that I taught the fifth grade, since 2001, for a small county
outside of Richmond. Teaching fifth graders is so rewarding because the
students begin to take a more responsible, proactive role in their education.
 I find it important to make sure students know why coming to school and doing
their best is important and the impact it will have on their future.
