Hello. My name is Marci Petrie. I have had the wonderful privilege of
teaching young children in both public and private schools since 1995. I
began teaching kindergarten here in Prince William County at Featherstone
Elementary School in September of 1999. In September 2007, I joined the
expanding kindergarten team at Bennett Elementary School. Kindergarten is my
favorite place to be because it is where the joy of learning begins! I was
born and raised in western Pennsylvania and graduated from Slippery Rock
University in 1992 with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education. My husband
and I have a beautiful daughter who was born in the spring of 2001 and a
charming son born in the fall of 2005! In my free time, I enjoy sampling
chocolate, baking, reading, scrapbooking photo albums, going out to eat,
creating projects, and going on new adventures with my family! Go Steelers!
