What does 'school closed- code green' mean?

Bennett will be closed for students and teachers but the administrative and 
custodial staffs report to work.

Bennett will be closed and no one reports to school or work.

Grades K-5: 11:10-3:40.

What happens if schools close early?

The time for closure will be determined by the Central Office.  The 
Telephone Tree and our AutoDialer will be activiated to informparents of the 
dismissal 
time.  Parents should also tune into local news broadcasts for the latest 
information.  Parents can also call the PWC Information Line at 703/791-2776 
for the latest on school closings.

Are family trips considered an excused absense?

Only if you submit your plans in writing to Mrs. Fogarty and receive  
approval prior to the trip.

Can I get my child's work in advance if he will be out for an extended time?

Unfortunately, it is Bennett's policy to NOT give out work in advance of 
absences.
