I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. I received a BA in Education
from Concordia Teacher's College in River Forest, IL. I received a MAEd
from SouthEast Missouri State University with a major in Early Childhood
Education. After many years of teaching, I decided to make a change and
went back to school and received my MSEd from Nazareth College in Rochester,
NY. My major was Educational Technology Specialist. After receiving my
degree and living through many cold winters, I decided to move south and was
hired to be the Instructional Technology Resource Teacher (ITRT) at Bennett
Elementary School in Manassas, VA.
I have two cats, Grace and Zoe and love lambs(especially black ones or
ones with black faces) and butterflies. I enjoy listening to audio books
and collect books autographed by authors that I enjoy. I love peanut butter
but unfortunately chocolate and I do not get along. I enjoy living in VA as
it reminds me of the north without the severe winters.
Technology is a reality in today's world. It is important for the youth of
today to be ready for their future. My mission is to be assist the staff of
Bennett Elementary to help our students become proficient with technology.
The best way to do that is to use technology in ways that are useful to the
students in their everyday work.
