Miss Flaherty is Bennett's full-time school counselor! She is originally
from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After completing her undergraduate degree in
Human Development and Family Studies at Penn State University she moved to
Virginia to obtain a Master’s degree in School Counseling from The College
of William and Mary. Miss Flaherty loves football season and enjoys
traveling, reading, cooking, shopping, and spending time with her friends
and family.
Mrs. Tebell will be working as a part-time counselor at Bennett this year.
Mrs. Tebell may be familiar to some of you because she has been a part of
the Bennett staff as a half-time learning disabilities teacher. This year as
her youngest daughter enters Bennett as a Kindergartener, she is heading
back to the work force full-time. Mrs. Tebell will divide her school day
between the school counseling department and as a learning disabilities
teacher. This is not a new situation for Mrs. Tebell as she previously
worked as both a teacher and counselor at Mountain View Elementary. She
earned her undergraduate degree from James Madison University in Special
Education and her Master's degree in Elementary Counseling from the
University of Virginia.
