READING: Read "Furry Mouse" p. 208

SPELLING: Write your Spelling words three times each.

READING: Our two stories this week are "Furry Mouse" and "Two Mice."
Please go over all vocabulary words with your child as you read the story
together. They will have a bookmark with the vocabulary words for each story.

LANGUAGE: Our Grammar lesson for the week will be plural nouns. We will
complete several pages in the Reading Practice Book and the Grammar
workbook. There will be no Language homework.

MATH: Our Math lessons this week include: fractions and dividing shapes
into halves, fourths, and eighths.

SCIENCE: We are beginning a unit on Matter.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We are beginning our unit on Native Americans.

*There will be homework in the following subjects each night:
-Reading: There will be a story to read and review every Monday &
Wednesday night. Also, your child will be required
to read a 1/2-point Read-Up book every night.
-Math: There will be a Facts Practice homework sheet and a Guided
Practice homework sheet for each night of the week
unless it was a test day. Most test days will be
Fridays.
-Spelling: Monday--Write your words 3 times each.
Tuesday--Write your words in ABC order.
Wednesday--Write 5 sentences using a spelling word.
Thursday--Study for your TEST!
*There will be homework in the following subjects once or twice a week:
-Science & Social Studies: Most assignments will be in the form of
a worksheet, an activity, or a Study Guide.
**All Study Guides for tests and quizzes in these subjects will be
handed out one week before the test.
