WRITING AN ABSTRACT

The abstract is a concise summary of your project.  It has the same title as your project.  It consists of four paragraphs having a total of about 250 words.  The first paragraph states the problem investigated and the hypothesis.  The second paragraph outlines your procedure.  The third paragraph summarizes your data.  The fourth paragraph states your conclusions based upon your data.

There should be no abbreviations, no contractions, and no personal pronouns.  Standard English must be used--no slang or colloquialisms.  The abstract should be typed or done on a word processor, double-spaced, on one sheet of paper.
