"School Nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing that
advances the well being, academic success, and life-long achievement of
students. The school nurse's primary role is to support student learning by
acting as an advocate and liason between the home, the school, and the
medical community regarding concerns that are likely to affect a student's
ability to learn (NASN 1999)."
