About The Teacher

I honestly think I was born to work in athletics, and I was just additionaly 
blessed to work with the youth of Nottoway County. At a young age I fell in 
love with sports. I played softball, basketball, volleyball and soccer in 
both middle and high school. I then went on to play soccer and basketball at 
the collegiate level. After graduating college with a BS in Exercise 
Physiology, I moved to Durham, N.C. where I was honored to work as an 
Ambassador to the WORLD SPECIAL OLYMICS. After the Olympics ended I worked as 
the Fitness Director at Ric Flair's Gold's Gym, where I wrote and facilitated 
exercise prescriptions for our clients. After both of these life experiences, 
I found working with children to be more rewarding and decided to pursue a 
job in teaching Physical Education. In 1999 I received a teaching job in a 
little town called Crewe, V.A., and I have called this "home" ever since.  
Along with moving to V.A. in 1999 to teach, I also took on the Girls Soccer 
Head Coach position and remained there for three years. I have also spent 
three years coaching the Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity Basketball Teams 
and Volleyball Teams. I have taught at both the Regional Alternative School, 
Nottoway Middle School, Crewe Primary and Burkeville Elementary. I just 
completed 10 years of service to Nottoway, and look forward to MANY more!
