Welcome to third grade math!
In the beginning we will review many skills and concepts from previous years.
As the year progresses, we will introduce new concepts. These include, but
are not limited to:
*multiplication facts 2-9
*division facts
*subtraction with regrouping
*decimals
*making change from $1 and $5
*place value to 100,000
*rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and 1,000
*telling time to the nearest minute
*patterns
*fractions
*reading both Fahrenheit and Celsius thermometers
*measurement (customary and metric)
Our daily routine will include meeting board, fact practice, the lesson and a
guided class practice worksheet. Homework will be given every night except
Friday. Fact homework will need to be timed, checked and signed.
