About The Teacher

I grew up in Chesapeake, and my alma mater is Great Bridge High School . I recently graduated from Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia . My degree is a bachelor of science in Elementary and Middle Education, with a concentration in Social Studies and Science. My goals professionally include taking graduate classes through Old Dominion and eventually becoming an administrator. I look forward to my new classroom at Fairfield and working with your child.

 

Mission For Our Class

My classroom is focused on the student: as responsible for their learning in fun and innovative new ways. By integrating technology into the curriculum, and through cooperative learning structures, students will engage in hands-on learning experiences. Holding myself accountable for the teaching and learning, I will differentiate and assess each day. My philosophy of teaching is to help each student grow into a citizen leader not only within our classroom and school; but in their community as well.
