meridian - the imaginary line that divides the Earth into Eastern and
Western Hemispheres.
6. The equator
and prime meridian are used to create the four hemispheres.
7. Regions
are places (areas of land) that have common characteristics.
8. We use maps
to find places. Most maps have a grid. Lines run from top to bottom and
side to side to create a grid. The letters and numbers on a grid identify the
exact location of a place.
