April 2013

April has arrived and spring will be here soon.  Our Pre-kindergarteners will be concentrating on number recognition and counting in computer class.  We will be making cookies in the "Cookie Factory" and working on "Build a Bug" where they will add body parts in various quantities.

The Kindergarteners continue in the world of Letterbugs where they listen for letter sounds in words (not always at the beginning of the word) to add bugs to their 'bug collection.'  The final game they will complete is "Chuckie's Checkout."  Then in Trudy's Time and Place House, the children will use map skills in the "Symbol Sandbox" and "Jellybean Hunt."
