I cannot believe that we are beginning the final two weeks of PreK. The
children are excited and have been enjoying all of the special activities.
Our field trip to the Town Center went well. The activities at Barnes and
Noble were awesome. We had fun walking around the block looking in store
windows and going inside a few stores. .
Our week also included carnival crafs and activities. We had our own
"carnival" in the class with fun games, silly pictures, and special snacks.
Thanks to Hannah's mom for the snacks and activities she sent for Friday.
This week we will finish our curriculum and continue to evaluate the
children's progress.
The PreK hallway will be transformed into a community this week. We will
spend time learning about community helpers and how we can help. On Friday,
we will have a special "Community Day". The students will visit different
places at Gloria Dei including the Ice Cream Shoppe, Coffee & Bakery Shop,
Flower Shop, Post Office, Movie Theatre and the Gym. It will be another fun
day.
We will also continue our Word Time unit entitiled "Play".
PROGRAM DAY!
***Our spring program is Wednesday, June 5. Please make your plans to join
us. The children have grown so much this year and they are precious to watch.
They are excited to sing for their families.***
A special thanks to everyone who helped with our basket for the Silent
Auction. When the wrapping was completed our baskets looked great. I did
hear that the carnival and auction were successful. Thank you for supporting
our school.
The final day of school is Thursday, June 13. We will have all school chapel
and then party. Our theme is a "Beach Party". I will place a sign up list in
the hallway this week.
Thank you again for all that you have done to make this a great school year
for your children.
