     I am in need of 24 glass baby food jars (small or large).  If you have 
any that we can use, or know of anyone who has them, please send in as soon 
as possible.  We need them for Long Ago Days and a project we will be doing 
at Christmas.

Start saving your Box Tops.  They will be due by Friday, October 23rd

Progress report go home on Thursday, October 8th.  All students in my class 
will receive a progress report.  Please sign the bottom and return to school.

As of October 1 all Mad Math Minutes will be GRADED! If your child is 
struggling with his/her math facts, practice at home with flashcards!

BOOK IT

Book It begins on Oct. 1 and will continue until March 31, 2010. Each month, 
your child will receive a calendar. For second grade, each child should read 
at least ten minutes for 20 or more days of that month.

Parents: Initial the calendar on the days your child reads.

Once a child has met his/her goals, send the reading calendar back to school 
and they will be awarded the Pizza Hut Certificate for FREE PIZZA!

answering questions.  (Take part of the question and put it back in your 
answer).  Don't forget to fill up all the drawing sheet and use color!
