It is hard to believe that we have worked our way through twenty-six letters
of the alphabet - but we have, and it has been so much fun! Now we are at
the letter "Z." To celebrate this letter, we would like to have the children
bring in a stuffed animal that you might find in a zoo. We would like the
animals brought to school no later than Wednesday, May 22. Attach your
child's name to the animal because many elephants and lions look alike! Our
Zoo Day will be Friday, May 24. We would also like the children to turn into
zebras by wearing clothing that is black and white on Zoo day.
In our Get Set for School Numbers and Math program, we are currently learning
about time. Children will learn to tell if something happens in the day or
night. We are using family photos to help us learn. Please help your child
choose a family photo of a day or night activity to bring to school on
Wednesday, May 22nd for this activity.
We will begin to talk about Play in our Word Time curriculum. Remember
that talking with your child about what happens at school helps develop
speaking and thinking skills. Enjoy watching your child's vocabulary blossom
as you spend time together.
Our annual school carnival is scheduled for Saturday, June 1st. As part of
the carnival, there will be a silent auction where themed baskets of goodies
will be auctioned off. Our class would like to donate a basket with a "To
The Beach" theme with items donated by the families in our class. Thank you
all for signing up to help fill our "To The Beach" basket. Please remember
to have your items to me by Wednesday, May 22nd.
It is hard to believe, but we are already planning for our End of The Year
Program. Our program will be Tuesday, June 4 at 10:30am in the the church.
The children are working hard to learn all the songs for our program. It is
important that you support your child by arranging your schedule to attend
his/her program.
