November 15, 2009
I certainly hope everyone weathered the "November noreaster" o.k.
and that you all have power by now.
This week we will introduce letter "Gg." we will also finish our
first Mother Goose theme.(Good Morning, Good Night) with a pajama
party. On Friday we will all wear pajamas to school. (Yes, teachers
too) You may send your child's slippers in the book bag to be worn
during the school day.
This week we also begin our program practices. The children will be
learning how to walk up onto the risers, follow the director and stand
still to sing their songs for you. I know they will all make you proud.
As Thanksgiving approaches, please talk with your children about the
meaning of thankfulness and help them think of what they are thankful
for. I hope you all have been able to complete your family turkey
project. I can't wait to display them all.
Next week Mortimer will again be on vacation and will not be
introducing a letter. On Tuesday we will have a Thanksgiving celebration
and dress like pilgrims. You will receive a note with details about
this.
Please know that I count working with your child among my cherished
blessings. I hope you have a restful and meaningful Thanksgiving.
In His Service,
Norma Waldschmidt
