Dear Parents,
April has been a very exciting month. Our caterpillars have
completed their metamorphosis. The painted lady butterflies will
be released as soon as the weather cooperates.
The tadpoles,(Flip and Flop) are very active and we are watch-
ing for their front legs to emerge.
The book fair was a lot of fun. Thank you all for the books
you purchased from my wish list. We just love stories!
Our field trip to the Buckroe Beach playground was a big hit.
The weather was beautiful and the children thoroughly enjoyed the
morning. Thanks to the parents who attended.
The month of May will be just as much fun. We will have several
special activities. Our letters this month are Xx, Yy and Zz to
finish the alphabet. For the letter X we will have a treasure hunt
and wear our x-ray glasses to find where "x marks the spot." During
Y week we will create a special yarn art painting. For the letter
Z we will create and visit our very own Gloria Dei Zoo.
Please remember that all items for our beach themed basket are
due by May 22nd. It will be auctioned off at the school carnival
on June 1st.
On the 28th we will visit Hampton Town Center as part of our
unit on the community.
We will be practicing for our closing program throughout the
month. I hope your child stays well so not to miss any practices
or the other fun activities that are planned as we finish the
school year.
Please continue to review letters and numerals if your child
needs the practice. We will be doing report card evaluations
near the end of the month.
Thank you for all your cooperation as we move toward the end
of the school year together with your child.
