November 30, 2009
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family
and friends. I also hope you all are rested and ready to get back into
routine. I am!
December promises to be a busy and exciting month. The first week,
(November 30-December 4,) we will have our final program practice.
Mortimer is back from his vacation and will introduce the letter Hh.
We will have Homework for letter H on Monday night. We will also do our
community service project, (providing hats and gloves for the homeless.)
This is a good way to help the children understand that some people can't
get everything the need and that we can help them.
Mother Goose will also present us with a new unit called, "What's
the Weather." The children will have homework on Tuesday night related
to our new unit.
During the week of Dec.7-11 Mortimer will again be on vacation. The
most exciting event this week will be our Christmas Program. The child-
ren have been working hard and I know you will be proud of what they have
learned. I hope you all can join us on Tuesday, Dec.8, at 10:30. The
program will be about 35-40min.
The week of Dec. 14-18 we will prepare for Christmas by making gifts
and decorations for Christmas. We will celebrate on Friday with a special
Birthday Party for Jesus. I will have a sign-up sheet outside the class-
room door for food donations for the party by December 7.
I know the children are getting very excited but we will try to keep
them focused for three more weeks until our Christmas break.
Have a blessed Advent and Christmas season,
In His Service,
Norma Waldschmidt
