Dear Parents,
I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and that you
had time to reflect upon the blessings in your lives. Ask your children what
they see as the blessings in their lives. Too often, we take things for
granted. May we all live with a deeper sense of appreciation for the things
that are really important.
It's a busy season, indeed, and I will certainly take it into
consideration when assigning homework. I know you all have family activities
in December. Please make sure that your children are getting enough sleep so
they can be alert at school. Activities can take us well into the evening
but we want to be at our best at school.
The current project is the biography scrapbook page which is actually
due on January 8th but can be turned in before Christmas for extra credit.
There is no need for this project to carry over during the holiday.
Encourage your children to get them done. I have scrapbook paper available
for my students so all they need to do is ask.
Take care and enjoy the season. I hope to see you all at the Christmas
program.
Sincerely,
Vickie Wiggins
