On May 20th, we will begin learning about the letter Zz.
This week we will begin the ninth unit in Our Word Time curriculum. It is
entitled Play. Our first week's words will be stop, go, first, next, relay
and game.
On Friday, May 24 we will have a Zoo Day at school to celebrate finishing the
alphabet. Please have your child bring a stuffed zoo animal to school by
Wednesday, May 22. We would also like your child to turn into a zebra for Zoo
Day by wearing clothing that is black and white on Friday.
In our Numbers and Math curriculum we are studying about day and night
activities. We are asking each family to bring in a photo of your family in a
day or night time activity on May 22.
We will be taking a spring field trip , to Peninsula Town Center on May 28.
We will visit the Barnes and Noble Store, where we will have a tour, read
some stories and have a snack. We will also take a walking tour around the
town center area.
Our school carnival is scheduled for Saturday, June 1. Thank you to all the
parents who signed up to bring in items for our baby baskets for the auction.
Please have your item or items to me by May 22.
Our Spring Chapel Program will be on Wednesday, June 4th at 10:30. The
children have been working hard preparing for our program. We hope your
schedule will allow you to attend our program.
