This week we had lots of fun while learning. We learned the beginning sound
of the letter C, tried to write our own C's, and gave passwords to enter the
classroom. We did clown art projects, made a Cool Clown to eat, and even
learned about Christopher Columbus.
Next week we are introducing the letter D. Each week we will study, tell
stories and play games with one letter of the alphabet. Your child can
bring a small item from home that begins with the letter of the week. The
item should fit in a zip lock baggie and have your child's name on it.
Remember that the item will stay at school for the week and be sent home
when the letter is completed. The children will also need "passwords" to
enter the classroom. The word will correspond with the letter of the week.
October will be a busy month for the children. In addition to our letter of
the week and our curriculum, we will have a visit from the fire department
to learn about Fire Safety. We will also have our field trip to the Pumpkin
Patch on October 24th. This is a fun trip and parents are welcome to join
us. Parents may have to drive and meet us at the Pumpkin Patch, it depends
on the number of seats available on the bus. There will be more information
coming home soon. We will also have our Fall Festival Week. This will
include the Book Fair, as well as other fun activities.
Thank you again for all of your support!
