Hi! My name is Jennifer Lester and I have two daughters, Amber 24 and
Kaitlin 14. My hobbies include reading and crocheting. I have an Associates
Degree in Education from SVCC and a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary
Studies grades PreK - 6 from Virginia Intermont College. I have passed
Praxis 1, Praxis 11, and the Virginia Reading Assessment. This makes me a
highly qualified teacher according to the "No Child Left Behind Act". This
is my fourth year as a First Grade teacher. I have nine years experience as a
subsitute teacher, experience as a long term sub in kindergarten, and one
year teaching special needs children.
To motivate the student in his/her own unique learning style to become
successful individuals. He/she will continue to build on their previous
learning experience and prepare for the next step (second grade)in their
educational journey. This class will provide a safe learning environment
for the students and will foster a positive atmosphere leading to
a productive learning experience.
