Live it Program

In support of the Wellness Policy, the Virginia Department of Education is
once again sponsoring the Governor’s Physical Fitness Activity Challenge
Program for all school personnel. This effort supports the Healthy People
2010 Health Goals for the Nation. Its purpose is to provide incentive and
the opportunity to develop a healthy habit of daily activity. All
physicians and medical organizations support and encourage everyone to
engage in a minimum of 30 minutes of activity daily to improve body
functions, handle stress and to develop healthy habits. As leaders in the
school division, we encourage all school personnel to become more physically
active and to serve as role models, emphasizing regular physical activity as
part of a healthy lifestyle.

Our goal is to have 30% or more of the Prince William County Schools staff
participate in this program. More than 50% of our staff works out on a
daily basis in some way that benefits their health. This year, take the
time to record your activities and receive the recognition you deserve.
Encourage your fellow staff members and students by demonstrating the
positive effects daily exercise activities have for you.

encourage fitness for a lifetime. The rules are simple. You can choose from
all kinds of activities. We'll also give you a personal activity log to
guide you every step of the way.
