| Math- Unit 10 -
In this unit we'll be working with geometric and other images and their
reflections, rotations, and translations. We'll explore symmetry and lines
of reflection. Look for some interesting designs from our reflections !
We'll also work on practicing and reviewing skills from previous units such
as division, addition and subtraction of fractions, and equivalent fraction,
decimal and percent quantities.
For Progress Check (test) on Tues., April 29th:
Know and/or be able to:
Draw a figure with no lines of symmetry
Draw a figure with just 1 line of symmetry
Draw a figure with exactly 2 lines of symmetry
Draw a figure with more than 2 lines of symmetry
Know how to identify:
a translated (slide) figure
a rotated figure (clockwise or counter-clockwise)
Use a transparent mirror to draw a reflected image
Complete a table of equivalent fraction, decimal, percent quantities
Add and subract fractions of different types
Example: 2/5 + 3/10 = _______
or: 5/8 - 1/2 = ______
