| Homework goes home every Monday in a calendar format.
I encourage parents to help their child with homework every day. Find a
special place in your home to do homework. Create a work space by storing
school supplies in one area. Make sure the supplies stay in that area.
Homework should not take more than 20 minutes at the most. This does not
include the 15 minute reading logs that will be going home in October.
If your child is sick, homework is not expected to be done, but when your
child is well, he or she should do the missed work.
I check to see if homework is done and record this information in my grade
book. I will let you know each week if your child has missed any assignments.
Homework is for reinforcement of the concepts that were taught. It is not
busy work. It also allows you to see what we are doing daily in each subject
areas.
If you have questions about homework, please do not hesitate to contact me.
