How can I help in the classroom?
If you would like to come in on Monday mornings at 7:45 to assist the
students as they write their Weekend Update that would be great. They should
be finished with them by about 8:20AM. We will then sit on the carpet and
share. You are welcomed to stay and listen for a few minutes.
--------------------------------------
How can I help my child become a better reader?
Give them time with you each night, Read to them or let them read to you.
Read in front of them to set an example. Turn off the TV and the video games!
--------------------------------------
Should I correct their homework?
Use your judgement. Let a few mistakes go. If he/she has missed simple
spelling words then make them redo the work. Please do not allow them to
return sloppy work. I will make them do it over.

How do I get in touch with you, Mrs. Hartin?
The best way is to send a note in your child's folder. I check those each
morning. You can also e-mail me at school or call the school.
