| We have received many of the little books that were assigned for the month
of May. The children are beginning to understand that stories have a
beginning, middle and ending. When you read to your child each evening have
them identify those story parts for you. :)
Be sure your child is reading to you and you are reading to him or her each
day. Time spent sitting with you and reading is a strong predictor for
future reading success. Your child will also benefit when he or she sees you
reading so feel free to enjoy your books, or magazines or newspapers or even
on-line news/sports/etc.
